American Eagle Outfitters Inc. (NYSE:AEO): The stock dived after disappointing guidance for the first quarter. American Eagle Outfitters is currently trading at $19.70, down 12.63 percent from its previous close.

The company reported its fourth quarter net profit for $94.8 million, up from $51.3 million in net profit it had earned for the corresponding quarter of the last year. On per share basis, its net income stood at 47 cents. However, American Eagle Outfitters expects its first quarter net income to be in the range of 16 cents and 19 cents. It was expected to provide its guidance at 25 cents per share. The stock is trading below its 20 days moving average price of $20.7 and 50 days moving average price of $21.79.  Its 52 weeks price range stands at $14.44 and $23.94. The stock is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 18.11. American Eagle Outfitters commands market capitalization of $3.97 billion.

Big Lots Inc. (NYSE:BIG): The stock is up after announcing strong quarterly results. Big Lots reported its net income for the fourth quarter at $120.3 million, up from $114.7 million it had earned a year earlier. On per share basis, its net income stands at $2.09 per share. It also reported 4.4 percent increase in its US sales. Big Lots reported its full year earnings at $177.1 million, down from $207.1 million it had earned for the preceding year. The stock is currently trading at $36.05, up 6.37 percent. It is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $35.47.  The stock oscillated in the range of $35.06 and $36.36 in the current trading session.  Big Lots reported its latest EPS at $2.64. The company stock’s Price Earnings ratio stands at 13.57. Big Lots commands the market capitalization of $2.07 billion and its stock is trading at the beta of 0.95.

Staples Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLS): It is currently trading at $12.52, down 5.94 percent. The stock is down after fourth quarter earnings announcement. Staples’ net income for the quarter declined 72 percent on account of higher charges, however it still exceeded consensus estimates. The company earned 12 cents per share or $78.1 million, down from $283.6 million it had earned for the fourth quarter of the last year. The company’s revenue for the quarter stood at $6.57 billion, up 3 percent from $6.37 billion. Staples were expected to report its revenue at $6.71 billion. The stock is trading in the range of $12.51 and $12.93 in the current trading session.  The stock is lower than its 20 days moving average price of $12.63 and 50 days moving average price of $12.96. In the past 52 weeks, the stock’s price range has been $10.57 and $16.93. The stock’s beta is 1.02 and its Price Earnings ratio is 500. Staples commands market capitalization of $8.44 billion.

Warren Resources Inc. (NASDAQ:WRES): The company reported its adjusted earnings per share at 6 cents per share, down 25 percent from 8 cents per share it had earned for the corresponding quarter of the last year. Warren Resources was expected to report its earnings at 4 cents per share. Its revenue also rose 16.94 percent to $31.9 million, lagging behind the consensus estimate of $31.94 million. The company stock traded in the range of $2.60 and $2.80 in the current trading session and at this point is at $2.62, up 0.77 percent.  The stock’s highest price point of 52 weeks stands at $3.86 while its lowest price point is at $2.08. Warren Resources stock is trading at Price Earnings ratio of 13.04 and its beta is 2.83.

Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (NASDAQ:LINC): The stock is up after the company announced better than expected earnings. It lagged behind consensus estimates for revenue. Lincoln Educational Services reported 10.71 percent higher net income at 31 cents per share, surpassing consensus estimate of 9 cents per share in net income. The company had earned 28 cents per share for the corresponding quarter of the last year. Its revenue stood at $102.45 million, lagging behind consensus estimate of $102.66 million. The stock is trading at $6.33, up 4.11 percent higher than its previous close. It has traded in the range of $6.07 and $6.30 in the current trading session.  It has traded 28k shares so far, in comparison to its daily average trading volume of 74k shares. The stock has traded in the range of $3.42 and $8.29 in the past 52 weeks. The company stock trades at beta of 1.02.
