Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:CY): The stock is currently trading at $9.95, down 9.18 percent after the announcement of its disappointing result. The chip manufacturer reported its net loss for the first quarter at $28.2 million, up from its quarterly loss of $19.5 million it had reported for the first quarter of the previous year. On per share basis, its loss stood at 19 cents per share.

The company’s revenue for the quarter also declined 7 percent to $172.7 million. It was expected to report its revenue at $167.8 million. Its adjusted earnings per share also beat consensus estimate of a penny in income per share, by announcing its income at 3 cents per share. It is trading below its 20 days moving average price of $10.98. The stock oscillated in the range of $9.87 and $11.40 in the current trading session. The company stock’s beta stands at 1.58, implying high volatility. Cypress Semiconductor commands the market capitalization of $1.45 billion. The stock lost 30.77 percent of its value in the past 52 weeks, while it has declined 5.72 percent in 2013 so far. Cypress Semiconductor expects its second quarter revenue to be in the range of $355 million and $375 million.

PepsiCo Inc. (NYSE:PEP): The company announced better than expected earnings for its first quarter and its stock hit its 52 weeks high. PepsiCo earned $1.08 billion in income for the quarter, down from $1.13 billion in income it had reported for the first quarter of the previous year. However, its adjusted EPS at 77 cents per share beat consensus estimate of 70 cents per share in income. The company’s revenue for the quarter stood at $12.58 billion, again surpassing consensus estimate of $12.54 billion. Its stock traded in the range of $80.11 and $83.45 in the current trading session and at this point is at $81.61, up 3.50 percent. PepsiCo traded 12.60 million shares in this session so far, in comparison to its regular trading volume of 5.10 million. The stock’s highest price point of 52 weeks stands at $83.45 while its lowest price point is at $65.68. PepsiCo stock is up 23.17 percent in the past 52 weeks while it grew 19.89 percent in 2013 so far. Its stock is trading at Price Earnings ratio of 20.80 and its beta is 0.48. The company’s dividend yield stands at 2.63 percent.

Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK): The stock is trading at $3.17, 11.45 percent lower than its previous close. It slumped after disappointing quarterly results. Nokia reported its first quarter loss at $357 million or 272 million Euro, down from 928 million euro in net loss it had suffered for the first quarter of the previous year. Its revenue also declined from 7.4 billion to 5.8 billion. The mobile handset company reported decline in the global sales of its mobile phones. Its sales volume declined 60 percent in China while its global volume declined 32 percent. The company stock has traded in the range of $3.14 and $3.26 in the current trading session. It has traded 112.9 million shares so far, in comparison to its daily average trading volume of 39.77 million shares. Nokia stock is currently trading below its 20 days moving average price of $3.38. The stock has traded in the range of $1.63 and $4.90 in the past 52 weeks and lost 20.15 percent of its value in the same time period. The company stock trades at Price beat of 1.73, implying high volatility. Nokia’s current market capitalization stands at $11.76 billion.

Overstock.com Inc. (NASDAQ:OSTK): The online company reported $7.7 million in net income for its first quarter, up from $2.7 million it had earned in the first quarter of the previous year. On per share basis, the company earned 32 cents per share, up from 12 cents per share. The company revenue also increased 19 percent to $312 million. Overstock.com had earned $262.4 million in revenue in the first quarter of the previous year. The company was expected to earn $282.3 million in revenue while its consensus estimate for EPS stood at 13 cents per share. The stock is trading 33.94 percent higher, at $15.35. The company has traded 954,313 shares in the current trading sessions so far and its stock has traded in the range of $5.27 and $17.65 in the past 52 weeks. The company stock’s beta is 1.30, while its P/E ratio stands at 24.96.
