UK manufacturing production unexpectedly rose in July
In the UK, manufacturing production unexpectedly climbed by 0.30% on a MoM basis in July. In the prior month, manufacturing production had dropped 0.20%.
UK industrial production surprisingly climbed in July
In the UK, industrial production registered an unexpected rise of 0.10% on a MoM basis in July. In the previous month, industrial production had fallen 0.10%.
Euro-zone investor confidence index surprisingly rose in September
In the Euro-zone, the investor confidence index advanced unexpectedly to a level of -11.10 in September. The index had registered a reading of -13.70 in the previous month.
US consumer credit advanced in July
In the US, consumer credit registered a rise of $23.29 billion in July, compared to a revised rise of $13.78 billion in the previous month.
Chinese CPI rose more than expected in August
In China, the consumer price index (CPI) registered a rise of 2.80% on a YoY basis in August, compared to a similar rise in the previous month. Markets were expecting the CPI to climb 2.60%.
