UK house price balance rose in August
In the UK, house price balance registered a rise to 4.00% in August, compared to a reading of 9.00% in the prior month.
US mortgage applications rose in the last week
In the US, mortgage applications recorded a rise of 2.00% on a weekly basis in the week ended 06 September 2019. In the prior week, mortgage applications had registered a drop of 3.10%.
Canadian capacity utilisation unexpectedly climbed in 2Q 2019
In Canada, capacity utilisation rose unexpectedly to 83.30% in 2Q 2019, compared to a revised reading of 81.10% in the previous quarter. Markets were anticipating capacity utilisation to ease to 81.00%.
Japanese machinery orders dropped less than expected in July
In Japan, machinery orders recorded a drop of 6.60% on a MoM basis in July, less than market expectations for a drop of 9.90%. In the prior month, machinery orders had advanced 13.90%.
