UK CPI advanced in March
In the UK, the consumer price index (CPI) recorded a rise of 1.50% on a YoY basis in March. In the previous month, the CPI had registered a rise of 1.70%.
UK house price index advanced less than expected in February
In the UK, the house price index climbed 1.10% on a YoY basis in February, compared to a revised advance of 1.50% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the house price index to rise 2.20%.
Euro-zone consumer confidence index dropped in April
In the Euro-zone, the flash consumer confidence index eased to a reading of -22.70 in April, compared to a level of -11.60 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the consumer confidence index to ease to -19.60.
US housing price index climbed more than expected in February
In the US, the housing price index climbed 0.70% on a MoM basis in February, compared to a rise of 0.30% in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the housing price index to climb 0.30%.
Japanese manufacturing PMI dropped in April
In Japan, the flash manufacturing PMI eased to a level of 43.70 in April. In the prior month, the manufacturing PMI had recorded a reading of 44.80
