UK manufacturing PMI dropped in April
In the UK, the flash manufacturing PMI dropped to a level of 32.90 in April, compared to a reading of 47.80 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to drop to a level of 42.00.
UK services PMI declined in April
In the UK, the preliminary services PMI dropped to a level of 12.30 in April, compared to a level of 34.50 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to fall to a level of 29.00.
Euro-zone manufacturing PMI fell in April
In the Euro-zone, the flash manufacturing PMI dropped to a level of 33.60 in April, compared to a reading of 44.50 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the flash manufacturing PMI to fall to a level of 39.20.
German manufacturing PMI dropped in April
In Germany, the flash manufacturing PMI dropped more than expected to a reading of 34.40 in April, compared to a reading of 45.40 in the previous month. Market anticipations were for manufacturing PMI to fall to a level of 39.00.
US manufacturing PMI fell in April
In the US, the preliminary manufacturing PMI dropped to a level of 36.90 in April, compared to a reading of 48.50 in the previous month. Market expectations were for the manufacturing PMI to fall to 37.00.
