UK consumer confidence index advanced in September
In the UK, the consumer confidence index improved to a level of -25 in September, compared to a reading of -27 in the previous month.
German Ifo business climate index rose less than expected in September
In Germany, the Ifo business climate index advanced to a level of 93.40 in September, compared to a revised reading of 92.50 in the prior month. Market anticipations were for the Ifo business climate index to advance to a level of 93.80.
German Ifo current assessment index climbed less than anticipated in September
In Germany, the Ifo current assessment index advanced to a reading of 89.20 in September, compared to a level of 87.90 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the Ifo current assessment index to climb to a level of 89.50.
US new home sales unexpectedly climbed in August
In the US, new home sales recorded a rise of 4.80% on a MoM basis in August, compared to a revised rise of 14.70% in the previous month. Markets were anticipating new home sales to ease 0.10%.
US Kansas City Fed manufacturing activity index dropped in September
In the US, the Kansas City Fed manufacturing activity index fell to a level of 11.00 in September, compared to a reading of 14.00 in the previous month.
