UK services PMI dropped less than expected in September
In the UK, the final services PMI fell to a level of 56.10 in September, compared to a level of 58.80 in the previous month. Market anticipations were for the services PMI to fall to a level of 55.10.
Euro-zone investor confidence index declined in October
In the Euro-zone, the investor confidence index recorded a drop to -8.30 in October, compared to a reading of -8.00 in the previous month.
Euro-zone services PMI dropped less than anticipated in September
In the Euro-zone, the final services PMI declined to a level of 48.00 in September, compared to a reading of 50.50 in the previous month. Market anticipations were for services PMI to ease to 47.60.
German services PMI dropped in September
In Germany, the final services PMI registered a drop to 50.60 in September, compared to a reading of 52.50 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating services PMI to drop to a level of 49.10.
US ISM services index unexpectedly advanced in September
In the US, the ISM services index unexpectedly climbed to a level of 57.80 in September, compared to a reading of 56.90 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the ISM services index to record a fall to a level of 56.30.
