Euro-zone GDP climbed less than expected in 3Q 2020

In the Euro-zone, seasonally adjusted final GDP advanced 12.50% on a QoQ basis in 3Q 2020, compared to a fall of 11.80% in prior quarter. Markets were anticipating GDP to climb 12.60%.

Euro-zone economic sentiment index advanced in December

In the Euro-zone, the economic sentiment index recorded a rise to a level of 54.40 in December, compared to a level of 32.80 in the previous month.

German economic sentiment index rose more than expected in December

In Germany, the economic sentiment index advanced to a reading of 55.00 in December, compared to a level of 39.00 in the prior month. Market expectations were for the economic sentiment index to advance to 46.00.

German current situation index dropped more than anticipated in December

In Germany, the current situation index recorded a drop to -66.50 in December, compared to a level of -64.30 in the prior month. Market expectations were for the current situation index to drop to -66.00.

US small business optimism index dropped in November

In the US, the small business optimism index recorded a drop to 101.40 in November, compared to a reading of 104.00 in the previous month.
