UK public sector net borrowings fell in May
In the UK, public sector net borrowings declined to £24.33 billion in May, compared to a revised level of £28.33 billion in the previous month.
Euro-zone consumer confidence index rose less than expected in June
In the Euro-zone, the consumer confidence index advanced to a reading of -3.30 in June, compared to a level of -5.10 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to advance to a level of -3.00.
US existing home sales dropped in May
In the US, existing home sales fell 0.90% on a MoM basis in May, compared to a fall of 2.70% in the previous month.
US Richmond Fed manufacturing index advanced in June
In the US, the Richmond Fed manufacturing index rose to a reading of 22.00 in June, compared to a level of 18.00 in the prior month.
Japan’s manufacturing PMI dropped more than expected in June
In Japan, the manufacturing PMI fell to a reading of 51.50 in June, compared to a level of 53.00 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to fall to a reading of 52.30.
