German consumer confidence index advanced in July
In Germany, the consumer confidence index rose to a reading of -0.30 in July, compared to a revised level of -6.90 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to climb to -4.00.
US consumer sentiment index rose less than expected in June
In the US, the consumer sentiment index climbed to a level of 85.50 in June, compared to a reading of 82.90 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to rise to a level of 86.50.
US personal income dropped less than expected in May
In the US, personal income declined 2.00% on a MoM basis in May, compared to a drop of 13.10% in the prior month. Markets were expecting personal income to drop by 2.50%.
US personal spending ended flat in May
In the US, personal spending ended flat in May, compared to revised rise of 0.90% in the previous month. Markets were expecting personal spending to rise by 0.40%.
