UK manufacturing PMI dropped less than expected in August
In the UK, the flash manufacturing PMI fell to a level of 60.10 in August, compared to a reading of 60.40 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to record a fall to a level of 59.50.
Euro-zone manufacturing PMI fell more than market forecast in August
In the Euro-zone, the manufacturing PMI dropped to a level of 61.50 in August, compared to a level of 62.80 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to drop to a level of 62.00.
Euro-zone consumer confidence index dropped in August
In the Euro-zone, the consumer confidence index fell to -5.30 in August, compared to a reading of -4.40 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to a level of -5.00.
German manufacturing PMI declined more than anticipated in August
In Germany, the manufacturing PMI fell to a level of 62.70 in August, compared to a level of 65.90 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to fall to a level of 65.00.
US manufacturing PMI fell more than expected in August
In the US, the manufacturing PMI dropped to 61.20 in August, compared to a level of 63.40 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to drop to 62.50.
