UK services PMI dropped more than expected in August

In the UK, the services PMI fell to 55.00 in August, compared to a level of 59.60 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to record a fall to a level of 55.50.

Euro-zone services PMI fell more than anticipated in August

In the Euro-zone, the services PMI dropped to 59.00 in August, compared to a level of 59.80 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to fall to 59.70.

German services PMI declined more than market forecast in August

In Germany, the services PMI fell to 60.80 in August, compared to a reading of 61.80 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to fall to 61.50.

US ISM services PMI dropped in August

In the US, the services PMI fell to 61.70 in August, compared to a reading of 64.10 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to fall to a level of 61.50.

US non-farm payrolls rose less than expected in August

In the US, non-farm payrolls advanced by 235.00K in August, compared to a revised level of 1053.00K jobs in the prior month. Markets were expecting non-farm payrolls to record a rise of 750.00K jobs
