UK house price index rose more than expected in October
In the UK, the house price index advanced 0.90% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a rise of 1.70% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to record a rise of 0.40%.
Euro-zone retail sales unexpectedly fell in September
In the Euro-zone, retail sales unexpectedly dropped 0.30% on a MoM basis in September, compared to a revised rise of 1.00% in the previous month. Markets were expecting retail sales to record a rise of 0.20%.
German industrial production unexpectedly dropped in September
In Germany, seasonally adjusted industrial production unexpectedly fell 1.10% on a MoM basis in September, compared to a drop of 4.00% in the prior month. Markets were expecting industrial production to record a rise of 1.00%.
US nonfarm payrolls climbed more than expected in October
In the US, the nonfarm payrolls advanced by 531.00 k in October, compared to a revised rise of 312.00 K jobs in the previous month. Markets were expecting nonfarm payrolls to record a rise of 425.00 K.
US unemployment rate fell more than market forecast in October
In the US, the unemployment rate dropped to 4.60% in October, compared to a 4.80% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the unemployment rate to drop to 4.70%.
