UK house price balance unexpectedly climbed in October
In the UK, the house price balance recorded an unexpected rise to 70.00% in October, compared to a revised reading of 69.00% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the house price balance to drop to a level of 68.00%.
Germany CPI rose as expected in October
In Germany, the CPI advanced 4.50% on a YoY basis in October, in line with market expectations and compared to an advance of 4.10% in the prior month.
US CPI climbed more than expected in October
In the US, the CPI advanced 6.20% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a rise of 5.40% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the CPI to record a rise of 5.80%.
US initial jobless claims fell in the week ended 5 November 2021
In the US, the number of initial jobless claims dropped to a level of 267.00 K in the week ended 5 November 2021, compared to a revised level of 271.00 K in the previous week.
US monthly budget deficit widened less than expected in October
In the US, the monthly budget deficit widened to $165.00 billion in October, compared to a deficit of $62.00 billion in the previous month. Markets were expecting the deficit to widen to $179.00 billion.
