German GDP rose in 3Q 2021
In Germany, seasonally adjusted final gross domestic product (GDP) registered a rise of 1.70% on a QoQ basis in 3Q 2021, compared to a revised rise of 2.00% in previous quarter.
German consumer confidence index fell more than expected in December
In Germany, the consumer confidence index dropped to a level of -1.60 in December, compared to a level of 0.90 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to record a drop to -0.50.
Japanese Tokyo CPI climbed more than expected in November
In Japan, the consumer price index (CPI) recorded a rise of 5.00% on a YoY basis in November, compared to a rise of 0.10% in the previous month. Market expectations were for the CPI to climb 0.40%.
Australian retail sales rose more than expected in October
In Australia, retail sales climbed to 4.9% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a rise of 1.3% in the previous month. Markets were expecting retail sales to record a rise of 2.5%.
