Euro-zone investor confidence index fell in April

In the Euro-zone, the investor confidence index dropped to -18.00 in April, compared to a level of -7.00 in the previous month.

German trade surplus widened in February

In Germany, trade surplus expanded to €11.50 billion in February, compared to a revised surplus of €8.80 billion in the prior month. Markets were expecting surplus to widen to €9.60 billion.

US factory orders declined as expected in February

In the US, factory orders slid 0.50% on a MoM basis in February, in line with market expectations and compared to a revised rise of 1.50% in the prior month.

US durable goods orders dropped in February

In the US, final durable goods orders registered a drop of 2.20% on a MoM basis in February, compared to a rise of 1.60% in the previous month.

Japan Jibun Bank services PMI rose in March

In Japan, the final Jibun Bank services PMI rose to a level of 49.40 in March, compared to a reading of 44.20 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to record a rise to a level of 48.70.
