Andrew Bailey says BoE pledges to bring down inflation

Bank of England (BoE) Governor, Andrew Bailey, in his speech, stated that the central bank aims at bringing down inflation back to 2% from more than 9%.

Euro-zone economic sentiment index declined more than expected in July

In the Euro-zone, the ZEW economic sentiment index fell to a reading of -51.10 in July, compared to a level of -28.00 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to -32.80

Germany current situation index dropped more than anticipated in July

In Germany, the ZEW current situation index fell to a reading of -45.80 in July, compared to a level of -27.60 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to fall to -34.50.

Germany economic sentiment index declined more than expected in July

In Germany, the ZEW economic sentiment index fell to a reading of -53.80 in July, compared to a level of -28.00 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index fall to -38.30.

US NFIB business optimism index dropped in June

In the US, the NFIB business optimism index fell to 89.50 in June, compared to a reading of 93.10 in the previous month.
