UK services PMI fell less than expected in September
In the UK, the S&P Global/CIPS services PMI fell to 50.00 in September, compared to a reading of 50.90 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to fall to 49.20.
Euro-zone services PMI unexpectedly dropped in September
In the Euro-zone, the S&P Global services PMI unexpectedly fell to 48.80 in September, compared to a reading of 48.90 in the prior month. Market expectations were for the services PMI to rise to 50.20.
German services PMI dropped more than expected in September
In Germany, the final services PMI dropped to 45.00 in September, compared to a level of 47.70 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to fall to a level of 45.40.
US ISM services PMI advanced more than anticipated in September
In the US, the ISM services PMI climbed to 49.30 in September, compared to a reading of 43.70 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the services PMI to rise to 49.20.
US ADP employment change advanced more than expected in September
In the US, private sector employment added 208.00K in September, compared to a revised 185.00K jobs in the prior month. Markets were expecting private sector employment to rise by 200.00K.
