Germany Ifo business climate index dropped less than expected in October

In Germany, the Ifo business climate index fell to 84.30 in October, compared to a revised reading of 84.40 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to 83.30.

Germany Ifo current assessment index declined less than anticipated in October

In Germany, the Ifo current assessment index fell to 94.10 in October, compared to a reading of 94.50 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to fall to 92.40.

Germany Ifo expectations index unexpectedly advanced in October

In Germany, the Ifo expectations index unexpectedly climbed to 75.60 in October, compared to a revised reading of 75.30 in the prior month. Markets expectations were for the index to fall to 75.00.

US housing price index dropped more than anticipated in August

In the US, housing price index fell 0.70% on a MoM basis in August, compared to a drop of 0.60% in the prior month. Market anticipations were for the index to record a fall of 0.30%.

US Richmond Fed manufacturing index declined more the expected in October

In the US, the Richmond Fed manufacturing index fell to -10.00 in October, compared to a flat reading in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to a level of -2.00.
