Euro-zone consumer confidence index advanced as expected in October
In the Euro-zone, consumer confidence index climbed -27.6 in October, at par with market expectations and compared to a revised reading of 28.80 in the prior month.
Euro-zone economic sentiment indicator fell as expected in October
In the Euro-zone, the economic sentiment indicator fell to 92.50 in October, as anticipated and compared to a revised reading of 93.60 in the previous month.
Germany GDP unexpectedly climbed in 3Q 2022
In Germany, GDP unexpectedly rose 0.30% on a QoQ basis in 3Q 2022, compared to a rise of 0.10% in the previous quarter. Market anticipations were for GDP to record a drop of 0.20%.
Germany CPI advanced more than anticipated in October
In Germany, the consumer price index (CPI) climbed 10.40% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a rise of 10.00% in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the CPI to record a rise of 10.10%.
US Michigan consumer sentiment index advanced more than expected in October
In the US, the Michigan consumer sentiment index climbed to 59.90 in October, compared to a reading of 58.60 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to rise to 59.80.
