US initial jobless claims rose as anticipated in the week ended 2 December 2022
In the US, initial jobless claims advanced to 230.00K in the week ended 2 December 2022, in line with market expectations and compared to a level of 226.00K in the prior week.
Chinese CPI rose as expected in November
In China, the consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.60% on a YoY basis in November, in line with market expectations and compared to an advance of 2.10% in the previous month.
Chinese PPI fells less than expected in November
In China, the PPI dropped 1.30% on a YoY basis in November, compared to a similar fall in the prior month. Markets were expecting the PPI to drop 1.40%.
