Euro-zone construction output for rose more than expected in October
In the Euro-zone, construction output advanced 1.30% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a rise of 0.10% in the prior month. Market expectations were for construction output to record a flat reading.
German business climate advanced more than expected in December
In Germany, the Ifo business climate index rose to 88.60 in December, compared to a revised reading of 86.40 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to rise to 87.20.
German current assessment jumped in December
In Germany, the Ifo current assessment index climbed 94.40 in December, compared to a revised reading of 93.20 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the index to rise to 93.50.
German expectations rose more than expected in December
In Germany, the Ifo expectations index advanced to 83.20 in December, compared to a revised reading of 80.20 in the previous month. Market anticipations were for the index to rise to 82.00.
US NAHB housing market index unexpectedly dropped in December
In the US, the NAHB housing market index unexpectedly fell to 31.00 in December, compared to a reading of 33.00 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the index to rise to 36.0.
