Euro-zone business climate dropped in March
In the Euro-zone, the business climate index fell to 0.70 in March, compared to a revised level of 0.71 in the prior month.
Euro-zone consumer confidence dropped as expected in March
In the Euro-zone, the consumer confidence index fell to -19.20 in March, at par with market expectations and compared to a level of -19.00 in the previous month.
Euro-zone economic sentiment unexpectedly fell in March
In the Euro-zone, the economic sentiment unexpectedly declined to 99.30 in March, compared to a level of 99.70 in the last month.
German CPI climbed more than expected in March
In Germany, the CPI advanced 7.40% on a YoY basis in March, compared to a rise of 8.70% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the CPI to rise 7.30%.
US GDP grew less than expected in 4Q22
In the US, the GDP climbed 2.60% in the fourth quarter of 2022, compared to a rise of 3.20% in the previous quarter. Market anticipations were for the GDP to rise 2.70%.
