US retail sales dropped more than expected in March
In the US, retail sales fell 1.00% on a MoM basis in March, compared to a revised fall of 0.20% in the prior month. Markets were expecting retail sales to drop 0.40%.
US industrial production rose more than anticipated in March
In the US, industrial production advanced 0.40% on a MoM basis in March, compared to a revised rise of 0.20% in the last month. Market anticipations were for industrial production to rise 0.20%.
US Michigan consumer sentiment index climbed more than expected in April
In the US, the Michigan consumer sentiment index rose to 63.50 in April, compared to a level of 62.00 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to remain steady at 62.00.
