In the UK, retail sales fell 0.90% on a MoM basis in March, compared to a revised rise of 1.10% in the previous month. Markets were expecting retail sales to drop 0.50%.

UK S&P Global/CIPS manufacturing PMI unexpectedly declined in April

In the UK, the S&P Global/CIPS manufacturing PMI unexpectedly fell to 46.60 in April, compared to a level of 47.90 in the prior month.

UK S&P Global/CIPS services PMI rose more than anticipated in April

In the UK, the S&P Global/CIPS services PMI advanced to 54.90 in April, compared to a level of 52.90 in the previous month.

UK Rightmove house price index advanced in April

In the UK, the Rightmove house price index rose 0.20% on a MoM basis in April, compared to a rise of 0.80% in the previous month.

Euro-zone S&P Global and Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB) manufacturing PMI unexpectedly fell in April

In the Euro-zone, the S&P Global and Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB) manufacturing PMI unexpectedly declined in April, compared to a level of 47.30 in the prior month.
