US nonfarm payrolls unexpectedly rose in May
In the US, nonfarm payrolls unexpectedly advanced by 339.00K in May, compared to a revised level of 294.00K jobs in the previous month.
US unemployment rate advanced more than anticipated in May
In the US, the unemployment rate climbed to 3.70% in May, compared to 3.40% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the unemployment rate to rise to 3.50%.
China Caixin services PMI climbed as expected in May
In China, the Caixin services PMI rose to 57.10 in May, at par with market expectations and compared to a level of 56.40 in the previous month.
Japan Jibun Bank services PMI advanced less than expected in May
In Japan, the Jibun Bank services PMI rose to 55.90 in May, compared to a level of 55.40 in the prior month. Market anticipations were for the PMI to rise to 56.30.
