In the Euro-zone, the business climate index fell to 0.06 in June, compared to a level of 0.19 in the previous month.
Euro-zone consumer confidence index rose as expected in June
In the Euro-zone, the consumer confidence index advanced to -16.10 in June, at par with market expectations and compared to a level of -17.40 in the previous month.
Euro-zone economic sentiment index dropped more than anticipated in June
In the Euro-zone, the economic sentiment index fell to 95.30 in June, compared to a level of 96.40 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to drop to 96.00.
German CPI rose more than expected in June
In Germany, the CPI advanced 6.40% on a YoY basis in June, compared to a rise of 6.10% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to rise 6.30%.
US annualised GDP grew more than anticipated in 1Q23
In the US, annualised GDP advanced 2.00% on QoQ basis in 1Q23, compared to a rise of 2.60% in the prior quarter. Markets were expecting GDP to rise 1.40%.
US initial jobless claims unexpectedly declined in the week ended 23 June 2023
In the US, initial jobless claims unexpectedly fell to 239.00K in the week ended 23 June 2023, compared to a revised level of 265.00K in the prior week.
