UK GDP fell less than expected in May
In the UK, GDP dropped 0.10% on a MoM basis in May, compared to a rise of 0.20% in the previous month. Markets were expecting GDP to drop 0.30%.
UK industrial production dropped more than anticipated in May
In the UK, industrial production declined 0.60% on a MoM basis in May, compared to a revised fall of 0.20% in the previous month. Market anticipations were for industrial production to drop 0.40%.
UK manufacturing production declined less than expected in May
In the UK, manufacturing production fell 0.20% on a MoM basis in May, compared to a revised drop of 0.10% in the prior month. Markets were expecting manufacturing production to fall 0.50%.
Euro-zone industrial production rose less than anticipated in May
In the Euro-zone, industrial production advanced 0.20% on a MoM basis in May, compared to a rise of 1.00% in the previous month. Market anticipations were for industrial production to rise 0.30%.
US initial jobless claims unexpectedly dropped in the week ended 07 July 2023
In the US, initial jobless claims unexpectedly declined to 237.00 K in the week ended 07 July 2023, compared to a revised level of 249.00 K in the previous week.
US PPI advanced less than expected in June
In the US, the PPI rose 0.10% on a MoM basis in June, compared to a revised fall of 0.40% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to rise 0.20%.
