US MBA mortgage applications dropped in the week ended 28 July 2023

In the US, the MBA mortgage applications fell 3.00% in the week ended 28 July 2023, compared to a fall of 1.80% in the previous week.

US private sector employment climbed more than expected in July

In the US, private sector employment rose by 324.00 K in July, compared to a revised level of 455.00 K jobs in the previous month. Markets were expecting private sector employment to rise by 189.00 K.

China Caixin services PMI unexpectedly advanced in July

In China, the Caixin services PMI unexpectedly rose to 54.10 in July, compared to a level of 53.90 in the previous month.
