German CPI rose as expected in July
In Germany, the CPI advanced 6.20% on a YoY basis in July, at par with market expectations and compared to a rise of 6.40% in the previous month.

US goods and services trade deficit narrowed less than market forecast in June
In the US, goods and services trade deficit narrowed less than expected to $65.50 billion in June, compared to a revised deficit of $68.30 billion in May.
China CPI fell less than anticipated in July
In China, the CPI dropped 0.30% on a YoY basis in July, compared to a flat reading in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to drop 0.40%.
China PPI dropped more than expected in July
In China, the PPI fell 4.40% on a YoY basis in July, compared to a drop of 5.40% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to fall 4.10%.
