UK retail sales dropped more than expected in July

In the UK, retail sales fell 1.20% on a MoM basis in July, compared to a revised rise of 1.60% in the previous month. Markets were expecting retail sales to drop 0.50%.

UK Rightmove house price index fell in July

In the UK, the Rightmove house price index dropped 1.90% on an MoM basis in August, compared to a drop of 0.20% in the prior month.

Euro-zone CPI rose as forecasted in July

In the Euro-zone, the CPI advanced 5.30% on a YoY basis in July, compared to a rise of 5.50% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the CPI to rise 5.30%.

Euro-zone construction output fell in June

In the Euro-zone, seasonally adjusted construction output dropped 0.30% on a YoY basis in June, compared to a revised rise of 0.30% in the prior month.
