In the UK, average earnings including bonus advanced 8.10% on a YoY basis in August, compared to a rise of 8.50% in the previous month. Markets were expecting a rise of 8.30%.
Eurozone ZEW economic sentiment index climbed in October
In the Eurozone, the ZEW economic sentiment index advanced to a level of 2.30 in October, compared to a level of -8.90 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to advance to a level of -8.00.
Germany ZEW economic sentiment index advanced more than estimated in October
In Germany, the ZEW economic sentiment index rose to a level of -1.10 in October, compared to a level of -11.40 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to advance to a level of -9.30.
US NAHB housing market index unexpectedly dropped in October
In the US, the NAHB housing market index unexpectedly fell to 40.00 in October, compared to a revised level of 44.00 in the prior month.
US retail sales rose more than anticipated in September
In the US, retail sales advanced 0.70% on a monthly basis in September, compared to a revised rise of 0.80% in the previous month. Market expectations were for retail sales to rise 0.30%.
