UK BRC shop price index rose in September
In the UK, the BRC shop price index advanced 5.20% on a YoY basis in September, compared to a rise of 6.20% in the previous month.
Euro-zone consumer confidence index fell as anticipated in October
In the Euro-zone, the consumer confidence index dropped to -17.90 in October, at par with market expectations and compared to a level of -17.80 in the prior month.
Euro-zone economic sentiment index dropped less than expected in October
In the Euro-zone, the economic sentiment index fell to 93.30 in October, compared to a revised level of 93.40 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to drop to 93.00.
German GDP declined less than expected in 3Q23
In Germany, GDP fell 0.10% on a QoQ basis in 3Q23, compared to a rise of 0.10% in the prior quarter. Market anticipations were for GDP to drop 0.30%.
German CPI advanced less than anticipated in October
In Germany, the CPI rose 3.80% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a rise of 4.50% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to rise 4.00%.
US Dallas Fed manufacturing business index fell in October
In the US, the Dallas Fed manufacturing business index declined to -19.20 in October, compared to a level of -18.10 in the previous month.
