UK Halifax house prices rose more than forecasted in October
In the UK, the Halifax house prices advanced 1.10% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a revised drop of 0.30% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the Halifax house prices to rise 0.20%.
Euro-zone PPI fell less than expected in September
In the Euro-zone, the PPI dropped 12.40% on a YoY basis in September, compared to a drop of 11.50% in the prior month. Market anticipations were for the PPI to fall 12.50%.
German industrial production dropped more than anticipated in September
In Germany, industrial production fell 1.40% on a MoM basis in September, compared to a revised fall of 0.10% in the previous month. Markets were expecting industrial production to drop 0.10%.
US goods and services trade deficit widened more than estimated in September
In the US, goods and services trade deficit widened to $61.50 billion in September, compared to a revised deficit of $58.70 billion in the prior month. Markets were expecting trade deficit to widen to $59.90 billion.
