UK CPI rose less than expected in October
In the UK, the CPI advanced 4.60% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a rise of 6.70% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to rise 4.80%.
UK DCLG house price index dropped in September
In the UK, the DCLG house price index fell 0.10% on a YoY basis in September, compared to a revised rise of 0.80% in the previous month.
Euro-zone trade surplus widened in September
In the Euro-zone, trade surplus widened to €10.00 billion in September, compared to a revised surplus of €5.90 billion in the previous month.
US NY Empire State Manufacturing Index unexpectedly climbed in November
In the US, the NY Empire State manufacturing index unexpectedly rose to 9.10 in November, compared to a level of -4.60 in the previous month.
US PPI advanced less than estimated in October
In the US, the PPI rose 1.30% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a rise of 2.20% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to rise 1.90%.
US retail sales fell less than forecasted in October
In the US, retail sales dropped 0.10% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a revised rise of 0.90% in the previous month. Markets were expecting retail sales to fall 0.30%.
