E2v Technologies (LSE:E2V) stock rose a healthy 8% and 10.00p today to 135.50pps. Company shares have been on the rise rather consistently since October 2011.

Report Highlights

The report was highly favourable, indicating that the board expects its performance for the year ending on March 31st to come in at the high end of their previous forecasts.

  • Total group revenue is projected to be up 3% from the previous year to £234 million.
  • Underlying turnover growth, originally forecast to be at 3%, will be closer to 10%.
  • Operating profit margin is expected to be 17%.
  • Interest expense is anticipated at about £2.5 million as a result of reduced finance costs.
  • The total order book at year end close was at £143 million.

Divisional Performance

  • The RF Power Solutions division is reporting a 5% growth over the previous year.
  • The High Performance Imaging Solutions will be reporting revenues 6% lower. But with an underlying growth of about 12%.
  • The Hi-Rel Semiconductor Solutions division revenues were up 8%.
  • Corporate Centre businesses revenues grew by 13%, moving from the red to the black.

CEO Comments

CEO Keith Atwood said, “We expect to deliver a solid performance for the year, and our underlying sales growth equates to c.10% for the second consecutive year. We are making positive progress in executing our key growth programmes and continue to anticipate that these will convert to material future sales. Consequently, we believe the group is well positioned for continued growth.”

The company received the Queen’s Award twice, in 2003 for its low-power linear accelerator, and in 2004 for its fast tune magnetron. Many of its semiconductor solutions are used in military and aerospace products, incluing missles, torpedoes, and bombs. It’s imaging solutions are used in science, medical, industrial, defence and outer space.
