Wednesday Tip 19th May

Tekmar Group (AIM: TGP) should benefit from the Government investment in green energy in particular off-shore wind-power and the Prime Minister’ stated ambition is for the UK to become the Saudi Arabia of wind-power. TGP is an established global market leader in the ‘mission-critical niche’ of protection systems for subsea cable, umbilical and flexible pipes bring used in wind-power. Global offshore wind capacity has the potential to increase 15-fold and attract around $1 trillion of cumulative investment by 2040. Beyond this ambition, the industry also envisions an installation of 1,400GW of offshore wind by 2050 to drive decarbonisation and a green economic future. e Second interim to March is to be reported in early June and should show the operational improvements. It is the second Interims because the year-end has been changed to September to allow the management to focus its full attention on the business during its busiest trading periods.
