My firm recently did a "State of the Industry" Client Study on Hydrogen, Here are some of our findings :

- Legacy Hydrogen ; Grey Hydrogen for the petrochemical sector, is the only commercially viable use of hydrogen at scale

- No on-road use of hydrogen has been financially sustainable (cars, trucks, busses, stations)

- No off-road use of hydrogen has been financially sustainable (marine, GSE's, aircraft )

- Hydrogen for Power Generation (Primary, Secondary, Back-Up) is not financially sustainable

- All Four Legacy hydrogen producers have scaled back or cancelled major capital projects involving hydrogen

- Of the 100+ Major Capital Projects involving hydrogen that have been announced to the public, LESS than 10 will be built , with no guarantee of success.

- There are hundreds of new concepts and technologies involving Hydrogen, but NONE are commercially viable at this time

- There are hundreds of new concepts and technologies involving hydrogen which work, but NONE are economic or commercially sustainable

Hydrogen Technology works .... Hydrogen ECONOMICS DON'T !

it may not have closed below $1 but it did trade in December 2018.

Checking the trade records though it does look like my first in last out purchases were in 2016 and 2017 mostly and made 50-70% profit when sold at $2.04

Watching patiently to see what they say about the loan money coming in and a start for Texas. The large scale electrolyser business world wide along with hydrogen generation in 2026 could save them.

Banger - PLUG never traded below $1.00 in 2018.

I bought in 2018 for under a buck
Sold the last in last couple of weeks for a profit!
Stupidly didn't sell and pay off my house in 2021 when over $50 but did get a nice car.
Have learned a lot about greed and unwillingness to pay tax!

IGTM - On February 9, 2017 PLUG traded at $0.83 with no split adjustments.

We might see PLUG reach that low again this year, if the Quarterly Earnings are disappointing and / or the DOE Dough is reversed.

i personally am not the least bit interested in catching any lows with plug...it has been dropping for years and has more room to drop...

rather than catching any bottom, i will wait to see a reason to buy...if one should ever occur...

during the years long downtrend of plug stock, i imagine many have tried to catch the bottom, for reasons i wouldnt understand...

but i have profitably daytraded it from time to time...

from what i can find, you have to go back to 2013 to find plug under a buck...and it actually hit 15 cents in April of that year...but thats so far back i dont really count that...however lets just say plug was a nickel away from a 7 yr low?...

CORRECTION : Plug's All Time Low was $0.83 / share.

No one catches the bottom or the all time low.

Same old Andy. It is always down the road just within reach, I have heard the same positive tripe from him year after year and nothing much ever changes with regard to profits and break even. You can be positive and right, but if your timing is 20 years off then your shareholders go broke.

I tend to agree with you for USA/North America, but the follow on is - what "catalysts/milestones" would be needed to change any one of those points?

I sold the last of my stock.

I took profits along the way but held on far too long waiting for the loan that never helped and may not be honored.

So I am no longer long but I would have been up still. I am sure there are other longs (suckers) like me with shares from years ago...

Waiting for the anti-catalyst that will start the turn around to get back. In the mean time much more to be gained in the AI software and quantum business. (up 16% and 10% in the stocks I moved to already!)

I wonder what is happening with our partner SK and their plant and buses. There has been no update. Of course, Andy said we are not to expect any, but one would think if the news was good we would. I wonder how many of the MOU's and deals will actually be completed and paid for. Seems the once Tuesday weekly news items are a thing of the past. I feel less positive about our future now then ever.
