Erasing early gains, the pound edged down against its most major counterparts in early European deals on Tuesday.

The pound pared gains to 1.4363 versus the dollar, 0.7597 versus the euro and 1.4630 versus the franc, from its early highs of 1.4435, 0.7540 and 1.4719, respectively.

The next possible support for the pound is seen around 1.42 against the greenback, 0.765 against the euro and 1.45 against the franc.
