The Hong Kong dollar slipped to 7.7544 against the US dollar on Friday in Asia, its weakest level since October 5 and 10-pips lower-than yesterday's closing quote of 7.7534.

The Hong Kong currency retreated from last month's fresh multi-year high of 7.7490 and its next barrier could be seen around the 7.7550 area.
