If news remains a couple months away... I would maintain my cautious outlook for the bleeding down game to continue, maybe back into the 7's .How low can sellers take the price.the big upwave was a double. From 7.20 to 14.40. A Range pattern goes all the way back to the 7.25 support shoulder zone.
In my view, the upwave pattern needed to hold support around 9.50/10 area. Then around 9.00. But these failed. Now the picture starts to regain a downward bias ,neutral at best if 8 dollars holds .Below 8 dollars looks like a Range pattern forming. I hate the bleeding down game.

The gap was filled and we are oversold. I still see the possibility of lower prices around the 6.70 level. The earnings call next week will probably see a retest of the low as Missling bashers come out in droves. Todays low did hit the midline of the Weekly Bollinger band and found support.

What would be your guess (no way of confirming) of the
LOWEST priced borrowed share if indeed the shorts were
financing ALL of the roughly 25% of the floated shares?
Care to bracket it with an estimate of shares that were sold recently above say 13.50?
Seems Net to close the position today would be between $20M and $100M.

Don't hold me to those numbers, but it seems from today's close
AVXL would have to rise 40% with NO liquidation of short positions for
them to even consider pinching the sphincter.

Let's see how you understand things come Feb'ish if there is no EMA approval. If there is approval, then my understanding would be that it is a good situation to be in with a gamble that paid off.

I have no opinion on that. It will happen when and if it happens. If I had to guess, I'd guess never. I think the shorts have an exit strategy. They have a lot of money to work with. Recently the short position was worth over $200 million. That value has increased with the SP drop. They could be squeezed if a huge partnership happened.

If a squeeze happens, I'll be all smiles.

I have a question based on Investors position which is Anavex should have started a large p3 confirming trial or trials before applying for NDA with FDA. Doesn’t that position assume EMA denial? Missling has played a well thought out gambit in that had he started a p3 the fda could delay any decision pending trial results. The result would be 2 yrs more of shorting and speculation plus a capital cost to the company and a weak cash position. By applying to Europe first that scenario is off the table in the short term and possibly long term, well played imho.

Congrats to you three guys! you all noticed the open gap in the 8 area and called it, even with OldMystic's recent change; it was listed on his model at one point.

Now EBZ has still been calling for the other open gap to be filled in the $5 plus area but missed the terrific run up to above $14, it goes back to November.

I did not want to overwhelm this message board from a certain person who said I was "clogging up the board"...although he might beat me on posts! Ha ha.

FWIW....it's the close that matters and those who bought this morning in solid stocks have probably taken a quick profit from the lows...it's never smart to get on the same side of the boat as everyone else.

Zig... 5.80/5.50/5.00 is on the map, of course.... but I have to watch the pattern develop along the way.watching the tumble, and how strong the bounce is, or not, watching volume, watching news, etc... not just patterns. I do like patterns. Fibonacci math targets, and other tools to use. I always end up buying some shares "too soon" along the way down, and sometimes I miss the bottom because I expected another lower target that never came. And sometimes the price action does exactly what I anticipated. Right now, I'm watching the bounce today jumped up from 8.50 back to 9.10... not too bad. Let's see if 8.70/8.60 Holds strong and a rally can recover to target 9.80/10.00 area. That kind of recovery would suggest the bottom could be finished at 8.46. We'll see what plays out now.
Conversely, Bearish bias for lower downwaves ... might see 9.00 get capped and sellers aiming to target 8 dollars. My stink bids got filled at 8.60 today. I'll place another at 8.07 just for fun.( All my bids are very small shares. I don't like buying alot, too soon.) I end up having to sell them at b/e later.

I loved motorcycle riding. In rain was not as fun, for sure.
My chartwatching looks at support/resistance targets, and using the basic tools. 17 years experience, I try to buy the bottoms and sell the tops. My latest "forecast" was looking at one more dollar down, from 9.40 area to 8.45 area. Today we got it. I'd call that a bullseye. I hope folks interested in adding to their position, had their stink bids filled. Bottom fishing/bargain shopping. Could this sell down continue to 8.00 and into the 7's... I'm not prepared to see 8.00 fail just yet. But the major Shoulder zone is at 7.20/7.50, and below that, the shoulder around 5.00/5.50. And you can see the various pivot bounces along the way up from 5.00 to 9 . For bullish pattern on the big chart, I really want to see 8 dollars hold.

In addition to Short Conspiracy scenarios NOW failure will be
the result of a European bureaucracy response to USA tariffs?
Perhaps homegrown tech or less than worker driven manufacturing
models would be a more appropriate response than "bias" against
a potential "wonder drug"? They could always approve it then fine Anavex
for stealing Missling from the Continent.
