URANIUM CORP. (TSX: FCU) (OTCQX: FCUUF) ("Fission"
or the "Company") announced today that the hearing for the
final order (the "Final Order") approving the previously
announced plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement") with
Paladin Energy Limited ("Paladin") began before the Supreme
Court of British Columbia on
September 13, 2024 and will continue
on September 26, 2024.
CGN Mining Company Limited ("CGN"), a subsidiary of China
General Nuclear Power Corp., is opposing the Final Order and
approval of the Arrangement. To the knowledge of the Company, CGN
holds a disclosed equity interest of approximately 11.26% of the
outstanding common shares of the Company. Fission's
shareholders voted in favour of the Arrangement at the Company's
special meeting held on September 9,
2024.
