KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.,
May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/
-- Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc. (OTCQB: MDHI.PK),
today announced the launch of the MediPendant™ via a strategic
alliance partnership with the Largest Warehouse Club Store in the
U.S. The MediPendant™ personal medical alarm, which offers patented
two-way voice technology enabling the user to speak and listen
directly through the pendant no matter where they may be in and
around their home, is now available for order via this retailer's
website. Additionally, Medical Alarm Concepts is today
announcing the kickoff of a joint e-mail-based marketing program on
June 8th, which is expected to reach
approximately 13,000,000 customers of this warehouse retailer.
Paul Green, VP Sales and
Marketing of Medical Alarm Concepts Holdings, commented, "We
believe we have a superior medical alarm product offering for
seniors who wish to maintain their independence and for others who
may need assistance while living alone. All of us at Medical
Alarm Concepts are very pleased to be able to offer these
individuals and their families a superior product at a very
attractive price via this strategic distribution agreement.
While we have already begun accepting orders from our partner's
website, beginning on June 8th we
will also be kicking off an expanded marketing initiative, which
will include not only a joint e-mail-based marketing program, but
also the re-launch of television advertising to further drive
awareness of our next generation medical alarm technology."
The Company has recently announced that a new television
commercial has been completed in conjunction with Florida-based, Harrington Multimedia, and that
both parties are in process of booking media times for the
two-minute segment discussing the benefits of the MediPendant™.
Ronald Adams, President of
Medical Alarm Concepts commented, "We expect to create
significantly more exposure for our company and to our
state-of-the-art medical alarm technology during the month of June.
We are now scheduled to return to television in conjunction with
Harrington Multimedia during the week of June 4th. In this
joint venture, Harrington is incurring nearly all the upfront
production and media costs, with Medical Alarm Concepts booking the
revenues and the two organizations sharing in the profits."
Mr. Adams continued, "As a result of a tremendous amount of hard
work from our staff members and partners, a lot of positive things
have been happening at the company. As is being announced
today, we are now operational with the country's Largest Warehouse
Club Store and a new marketing program is scheduled for June
8th. Last week we announced the receipt of the first in a
series of large releases, the gross margins from which are expected
to cover much of our operating expenses through the end of the
year. We now have a significant amount of inventory ready for
sale, and we have recently been granted a sizable increase in our
non-dilutive credit line. This credit line is rather
incredible for a small company in that the interest rate is
relatively low, there are no common or preferred share conversion
features, and the provider is genuinely interested in our overall
success. It is a credit line that even much larger companies
may have difficulty in obtaining, but we have it in place and it
has significantly aided our ability to put programs into place to
benefit our long-term future. We have also recently been
successful in negotiating the partial cancellation of portions of
our convertible debt, the deletion of over 100 million potentially
dilutive warrants, and we are currently beginning negotiations for
an additional round of both debt and warrant cancellations. We plan
to provide our investors with additional information relative to
these events and relative to the specifics of television
advertisement airing dates and times as soon as this information
becomes available."
About MDHI
Medical Alarm Concepts Holdings, Inc. (MAC) develops and
manufactures innovative products and practical solutions within the
framework of a vast growing marketplace. MediPendant's™ patented
two-way voice technology enables the user to speak and listen
directly through the pendant no matter where the user may be in and
around their home. MediPendant™ service also includes advanced
features such as three-way calling that enables the operator to
link loved ones directly into the emergency call in real time. Text
message alerts are also standard, and are used to inform loved ones
that the user has contacted an operator or has requested
assistance. A standard PERS system does not enable the user to
speak and listen through the pendant, thus limiting them to a small
area in their home. There is always the risk that the user will not
be heard by the call center operator if they are not within a short
range of the base station. For more
