Saneamento Basico do Estado de Sao
Paulo - SABESP (BM&FBovespa: SBSP3; NYSE: SBS), one
of the largest water and sewage service provider in the world based
on the number of customers, in accordance with CVM Instruction 358,
of January 3, 2002, as amended,
hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general of the
following:
1. Regarding lawsuits number
1064876-84.2013.8.26.0100 and 064069.18.2012.8.26.0100, under
course in the Sixth Civil Court of the Central Judicial District of
the City of Sao Paulo and the
Court of Justice of the State of Sao
Paulo, and arbitration proceeding 69/2013, under course
in the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce – AMCHAM, involving a
dispute related to the removal of water from the Guarapiranga and
Billings reservoirs between Sabesp and EMAE – Empresa Metropolitana
de Aguas e Energia S.A., disclosed in Note 9 – Balances and
Transactions with Related Parties, item (c) – Use of Reservoirs –
EMAE of the Financial Statements dated December 31, 2013, it should
be clarified that Sabesp and EMAE are holding talks with a view to
reaching a potential agreement. No adjustment has been agreed upon
and no document has been executed by the parties up to this
date.
2. If an agreement is entered into, Sabesp will duly
inform its shareholders and the market, pursuant to the legislation
applicable to the securities market.
