$400m US Private Placement

Spectris plc (SXS: LSE), the expert in providing insight through precision measurement, today announces the successful completion of a $400m issue of US Private Placement ("USPP") notes, following a competitive process.

The issuance, on investment grade terms, refinances the $400m bridge facility that was entered into for acquisition purposes. The USPP debt comprises USD and EUR tranches with maturities between 5 and 10 years, issued at average rates of 5.15% for USD and 3.66% for EUR.
