Temporary Superpowers of Bull Market

Cable and Wireless is up 70% in 8 weeks, Enterprise Inns is up 80% in roughly the same period, Transence is up 48% in a month and Robert Wiseman got taken out within hours of me buying.

This current equity boom is making me and anyone else who is ‘long’ look like a genius.

Tyche is smiling on me.

While I’m granted temporary superpowers by the bull market I feel I should double up on Game Group, but I can’t actually stomach the thought. I need a trigger to buy more of such a dog. Dog companies do go bust, so a few of these ‘come back kids’ will actually die leaving a loss. As such, getting greedy without further confirmation of upside is a bad idea.

I’m starting to have my doubts about Tesco. Of course Tesco is a retailer, which is hardly a good sector to be in, but it is also maybe a property company and perhaps not a particularly well run one. That’s a kind of double negative whammy.

If Tesco breaks the previous low by much I will consider selling. Of course it will be hard for the company not to go under £3 as stop losses will suck the price there.

As such I should dwell on the fundamentals of the company some more. Even so a sell light bulb went off in my head a few days back and that is a cause for further research.
