Are equities finally making a comeback?

So the upshot is that you have to find productive inflation hedges that protect from inflation while still delivering a return. Equities offer this, but I feel the need to look beyond them, but in the end shares are the best most liquid venue for investment.

The key issue for me going forwards is inflation. I believe inflation is going to halve the value of cash in the next 5 years and if the governments of the West don’t play their cards right then inflation will shoot to about 10% and we will have a replay of the 70’s with 15-30% yearly inflation.

Alternative investments are also interesting but, however you look at it, equities are the place to hide.

This is undoubtedly why they are doing so well at the moment; perhaps equities are going to finally make a comeback. I expect a strong medium term followed by a very strong long term. Of course, I would say that, but when you consider equities have gone nowhere for over a decade, at some point they will take off again.
