Aeropostale Inc. (NYSE:ARO): Janney Montgomery Scott downgraded the stock from Buy to Neutral. The company has been receiving downgrades for quite some times as Caris & Co. also downgraded the stock to Above Average. Its earlier rating was at Buy.

Aeropostale is currently trading at $13.94, down 0.64 percent from its previous close of $14.03. The stock is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 18.37. The downgrades are pouring despite relatively strong results posted by the apparel company. Aeropostale posted $24.9 million in earnings while its revenue for the quarter stood at $650.9 million, surpassing consensus estimate of $600.4 million. The company’s EPS stood at 31. The analysts were expecting the company to report its EPS at 29 cents. The company stock has traded in the range of $11.76 and $23.05 in the past 52 weeks. However, the stock is trading below its 20 days moving average price of $14.01 and 50 days moving average price of $13.98. Aeropostale currently faces stiff competition from its peers such as Abercombie & Fitch and American Eagle.

Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX): The stock has been downgraded by Sanford C. Bernstein to Market Perform. However, the company has some good news to offer as it received approval for its new precision Spectra Spinal Cord Stimulator System from European authorities. Boston Scientific is currently trading at $5.60, up 0.18 percent from its previous close of $5.59. It has traded in the range of $5.57 and $5.63 in the past 52 weeks. Boston Scientific is planning to invest a substantial amount of capital for clinical trials. The system is also being reviewed by USFDA and currently is not available for sale in the United States. The stock is trading at the beta of 0.95. However, the stock is trading above its 20 days moving average price and 50 days moving average price of $5.59.

Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE:CVC): The stock received not only one but two downgrades in the row. Goldman Sachs now rates the stock at Sell while Canaccord Genuity downgraded the stock to Hold. On the other hand, the company decided to raise its internet prices by $5 per month. It is, however, keeping the phone and video prices intact. The company also stated that it had not increased the internet prices in last one decade.  The company stock is currently trading at $14.49, up 2.33 percent from its previous close of $14.16. The stock had opened at $14.57 and has traded in the range of $14.43 and $14.65 in the current trading session. Cablevision stock commands the Price Earnings ratio of 21.84. Cablevision Systems is a media and telecommunications company.

Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX): The company received notice from SEC for its CEO’s Facebook post and Netflix is likely to face scrutiny for its alleged violation of rules. SEC is expected to recommend civil injunction or cease and desist case against the company. Another bad news for the company is its rating downgrade from Caris & Co., which now rates the stock as Sell. The rating cut is due to the company’s new deal with Disney, which is not expected to come into effect until 2016. The analyst is of the view that the deal is more beneficial to Disney than to Netflix. The stock is currently trading at $88.84, up 3.10 percent from its previous close of $86.17. It has traded in the range of $87.57 and $89.78 in the current trading session. However, the stock is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $88.49 and 50 days moving average price of $87.07. Netflix is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 112.42.

Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Inc. (NYSE:FCX): The stock has received a flurry of downgrades following the news of its acquisition of Plains and McMoRan. Analysts have questioned the effectiveness of acquisitions and synergies. The stock is now graded Market Perform by FBR Capital, BMO Capital Markets and RBC Capital, while Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Macquarie have rated the stock Neutral. Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold is currently trading at $32.31, up 4.87 percent from its previous close. The stock is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 10.49. It has traded in the range of $30.54 and $48.96 in the past 52 weeks. However, the stock is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $32.01 and 50 days moving average price of $31.22.
