Germany’s Deutsche Bundesbank: Strong German economic growth to continue in the third quarter

The Deutsche Bundesbank indicated, in its monthly bulletin, that the German economy is expected to continue its strong growth trend in the third quarter, on the back of exceptionally strong industrial production, exports and consumption. The central bank further added that the outlook for consumers remains bright, amid a strong labour market and positive income growth.

Canadian wholesale sales declined in June

Canada’s wholesale sales fell 0.5% in June, meeting market expectations. The wholesale sales had recorded a revised rise of 1.0% in the previous month.

US Chicago Fed national activity index dropped more than estimated in July

The Chicago Fed national activity index fell to a level of -0.01 in July, compared to market consensus for a drop to a level of 0.10. The index had recorded a revised level of 0.16 in the prior month.
